We are looking for an inquisitive independent thinker to join the Internal Regulation team in providing challenge to the business and advice to the Assurance Director and on the Environmental, Safety, Health and Quality performance of the business. You will need to be able influence the business in its drive for continual improvement in ESH&Q performance. As an Internal Regulator you will manage the surveillance programme for your area of responsibility in order to provide an overview on all aspects of the areas performance and report these findings to key stakeholders and governance bodies. We are looking for the Internal Regulator to have:NEBOSH General Certificate or a Degree in a science/ engineering based subject, or vocational qualification or equivalent and relevant practical experienceStrong Interpersonal and communication skills capable of influencing customers, stakeholders and others in the teamOrganisational and reporting skillsReport writing and presentation skills and the use of MS Office Suite and business database packagesDemonstrated ability to adapt quickly to both reactive and routine requests. Experience of undertaking investigations and/or AuditExperience in one or more of the following fields general, industrial, nuclear and or explosives safetyKnowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act and subordinate RegulationsKnowledge of Risk Assessment MethodologiesKnowledge of Nuclear Regulations Licence Conditions Special RequirementsWilling and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role.
